What a year for real estate in Wilmington! It was awesome to witness!
Here’s your December Real Estate Market update.
Average sold price per home stayed steady at $398k when compared to November which was at $396k. Homes sold increased from 363 to 416. I expect that number to fall slightly to reflect the lower holiday season inventory. Active listings have fallen from 300 to 224.
Lower inventory paired with historically low interest rates spells 'opportunity' for those thinking of selling their home. Interest rates are projected to creep up this year which means a decrease in buying power for anyone thinking of purchasing property.
