This week I wanted to highlight an up-and-coming artist here in Wilmington. His name is Connor Barth. But before I get into his story and photography business, I want to thank him for allowing me to use some of his work on my website. Without your contributions and impressive photography, my site would not be as vibrant, clean, and distinctive as it is.
Connor is a Wilmington native and grew up living the coastal lifestyle. He attended Hoggard High School where he was a First-Team All-American Football Player as a field goal kicker. In 2004 he went off to play football for the University of North Carolina. Following a great career in college, Connor moved on to play in the NFL from 2008-2017. His resume showcases him playing for teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and the Chicago Bears. He is currently ranked 107 on the all-time scoring leaders list for the league!
Not long after returning to Wrightsville Beach following the 2017 NFL season, Connor began focusing on honing his skills as a photographer. The passion he has for his hometown along with anything related to the ocean has helped him create and evolve what is now “Connor Barth Photography.” His work focuses on capturing waves and other ocean scenes at the most opportune moments. He also mixes in some breathtaking aerial shots of landscape views in and around the Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach areas. His goal is to share what he sees everyday through the lens of his camera. Take a look at some of his work below!
Connor’s work can currently be ordered on different sized canvas and paper prints. The paper print option can be finished with a fine art matte, semi-gloss, or metallic photo look. His unique style and photographic ability make his images the perfect addition for anyone that has an appreciation for the ocean, nature, or beautiful landscapes.
