Palate Bottle Shop & Reserve

Untitled design (72)

Within Wilmington’s recent boom of breweries and bottle shops are a handful of standouts. One of my favorite of these standouts is Palate Bottle Shop & Reserve located in the Brooklyn Arts District.

I love spending time here with my family and friends. It is an ideal setting to enjoy a diverse selection of beverages, music, and food. Take a look below at how quickly one of their craft beers made my wife happy as can be!

One of the unique features that helps Palate stand out from the competition is their food truck, “The Kitchen at Palate”. It is run by Chef Carson Jewell who is extremely talented and puts a lot of care into every one of his dishes.

Their food is locally sourced and cooked with a finesse that you would think could only be found in the fancier, sit-down restaurants. The menu is always changing and impressive.

The Kitchen at Palate is open from Wednesday-Sunday and I highly recommend going to check it out as soon as you have the chance. Helpful tip: Get there early as their food sometimes sells out because of the high demand!

While you are enjoying your food, be sure to take a look at all the drink options at your disposal. There is always a wide selection of craft beer as well as wine from around the world to fit a myriad of flavor profiles. In addition, keep an eye on their chalk board that lists the 14 beers they currently have on tap.

Palate is family friendly, so don’t hesitate to bring the kids along with you! (Boombalattis Ice Cream is right next door!) There’s plenty of room to lounge with covered outdoor patio seating along with fire pits and a beer garden. The stage setup is wonderful for local favorites to perform live music.

Palate always has something going on. Check out the list weekly events that are currently listed on their website:

Tuesday / Turntable Tuesday: We go old skool & play vinyl records while sipping on your favorite glass of wine or beer. Bring your own records or borrow some of ours! 7-9pm.

Wednesday / Winedown Wednesdays: Yes its hump day and what a better way to make it though the second half of your week by tasting a variety of wines for FREE? 6-8pm.

Thursday / Beer Tasting Thursdays: Now we let the beer knurds have their say. Come in and try some things you’ve never had. We’ll pop the top on a variety of bottles, cans & draught as part of our weekly theme. 6-8pm.

Saturday / Live Music: We bring bands to our patio stage. Check out a nationally touring artist or an up and coming local band late in the afternoon weather permitting. Please check schedule.

Sunday / Live Music: After having a few mimosas and beer cocktails, we’ll spend the afternoon relaxing in the beer garden with live acoustic music weather permitting. Please check schedule.
