RUMCOW

This week’s hot spot in Wilmington takes us to Grace Street in the historic Downtown District! If you’re hungry and you want something incredible, you need to head to RUMCOW right now. Stop reading this and go. You won’t regret it.

RUMCOW opened in August of 2018. The menu focuses on fresh, local ingredients with a southern influence and modern flair. It is my personal favorite restaurant in town to have brunch, which they offer Saturday and Sunday. Honestly though, it’s a wonderful option for lunch or dinner as well. Their food takes your taste buds to another level of satisfaction. The flavor profiles they put together with each dish are extremely satisfying and impressive.

Chicken and Waffles… Let me repeat… Chicken and Waffles. By far the best in town! I have had it multiple times and will continue to order them with each visit. The chicken is crispy and cooked to perfection while being paired with a sriracha hot honey and maple butter syrup that will make you drool. Yum.

If you’re looking for a tasty adult beverage to help you wash down your brunch, look no further than the “But First, Coffee.” It’s made with cold brew coffee, Makers Mark bourbon, Grand Marnier, maple syrup, and a dash of cream. Give it a shot. You can see one with the Carnivore Burrito in the picture below!

For dinner you will need to look on the part of the menu that says “Not to Share” for the entrees they offer. There is a good reason why it says “Not to Share” because you’re not going to want to give any of your meal up. I recommend ordering either their Char Seared Tuna or any one of their Jumbalaya’s (Chicken, Vegan, or Blackened Shrimp)!

Don’t forget about the items “To Share” on their menu either! Give the Asian Tots or Avocado Fries a try! Tots in general are a selection of food that I have to order when the opportunity presents itself. That rule becomes even more true for me when you add the fact that these have peanut sauce, edamame, jalapeños, cilantro, and red cabbage mixed in with them.

Put RUMCOW on your “soon to visit” list if you haven’t checked this placed out! The staff is great, the food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is excellent. You will want to come back for more!

The address is 121 Grace St. Wilmington, NC 28401. It’s right next door to Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (Which makes my favorite Old Fashions, but thats a story for a different time). Take a quick look of the inside in the video below!
