When someone asks me for an idea of a date night spot in Wilmington, The Second Glass is always on the list that I give – every single time. Their savory small plates, delectable entrees, extraordinary wines, and innovative cocktails all help make it unlike any other restaurant in town. The location in the South Front District is also tough to beat. I love that you are technically in Downtown Wilmington, but away from some of the larger crowds when the city is busy. Be sure to call ahead in order to reserve seating. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating options. In addition, be on the lookout for special events, Sunday brunch, and Wine Wednesdays! Take advantage of any occasion that you see The Second Glass offering a pre fixe menu with a wine pairing for each course! My personal favorite dinner entrees are the Brasstown Beef N.Y. Strip and the Humble Roots Farm Fried Chicken. My favorite cocktail is the Mister Tally Man. It’s a no brainer why The Second Glass is this week’s Wilmington Business of the Week! If you haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet, I can’t recommend it enough. Remember, The Second Glass is always better than the last!
